Membership Requirements: Students
All students must first attend one of our orientations to participate (online registration). Our classes are then held every Saturday morning during the outdoor season at our outdoor range. As a Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) club, the Kennesaw Archery Club requires all participants to minimally hold a "USA Archery Recreational Archer" membership status to shoot in our programs. See our USA Archery section for more information and how to register. Participation in JOAD Achievement Ranking Programs Achievement ranking and pins will be available for the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) and Adult Archery Program (AAP) students wishing to earn milestones in their archery development. To participate, two types of membership are required: 1. Kennesaw Archery Club membership JOAD and AAP Club Membership applications can be obtained at our Saturday morning classes. Download a copy in our Forms section below. 2. USA Archery Full membership A Full, non-"Recreational", youth or adult/family membership in USA Archery is required to participate in the USA Archery JOAD/AAP programs. This membership will also allow participation in State, Regional, and National tournaments. See our USA Archery section for more information and how to register. Forms to be Filled Out The membership packet contains the application and the two required release forms that must be submitted before your application can be accepted. Also included are waiver release forms that must be signed prior to receiving orientation. Two signed waivers and release forms must accompany all new applications and renewals for EACH member. By submitting electronically, you agree to all provisions and stipulations provided in the waiver release forms shown in the links on this page. Hard copies of the waivers must still be provided with payment to activate your membership. Please email membership@kennesawarchery.org for membership information and applications. Payment and release forms are required to activate your membership. See the section on Payment Options below. Communicable Disease Waiver Prior to being on premise at the outdoor range, anyone including archers, family, and guests, is required to sign and return the Communicable Disease Waiver. The signed waiver can be scanned or a photo taken and emailed to secretary@kennesawarchery.org or delivered to the desk personnel during regular class sessions. Range Access The membership period is from July 1 through June 30 each year. Membership allows outdoor range privileges, but does not include any class fees. Scheduled classes and events posted on our calendar take precedent over range access.
Please close the gate and twirl the lock combination when entering or exiting the range, even when other members are using the range. The gate may be left open during scheduled classes and orientations. Guests may shoot on club ranges only on two separate occasions while accompanied by a current member and then must become a member to shoot at the ranges. NO BROADHEADS are allowed on Target or Field ranges. Volunteering All members of the club work together and share the workload to keep the range maintained, so please do your part! Various responsibilities may be assigned (e.g. target maintenance, range cleanup, tournament duty, etc.). We are a non-profit organization. If you cannot volunteer any assistance and just want to shoot, your membership dues may be increased. Membership meetings will be announced via the weekly email newsletter. Payment Options Your membership application package and payment may be mailed, or hand-delivered to the outdoor range during one of our scheduled classes.
