Community Coach Course Announced

Dates Held:    Fri, Sat, Sun,  October 8-10, 2010

Location:The course will be held at 3158 Shoal Creek Rd., Lavonia, GA 30553 (Approximately 15 miles from Clemson, SC and 45 miles from Anderson, SC near Lake Hartwell) google maplink

Fee is $250,

Deadline to register: Sept 15, with $50 check to Coach Jim White see link for details

Prerequisite:

To be eligible to attend a Community Coach Course, candidates must have been certified as a USAA or NFAA Intermediate Instructor or an NASP BAIT for at least one year. Interested persons who can document that they have been actively teaching or coaching for the past three years, and pass a comprehensive “Test In” exam, may attend.

Why: Community Coaches are archery enthusiasts who are ready to make the transition from an instructor to the coaching level. This level certifies the individual as one who has put in the time and effort to raise their level of commitment to the sport and their students. If you are interested in taking your teaching skill to the next level, this course is for you. Becoming a Community Coach will help you learn the beginnings of working one on one with serious archers who want to compete at the higher levels of competition. As a coach, you will become more involved in developing archers who can compete in the national and international archery arena. You will also be better equipped to lead your local club in it’s development of archers and be a focal point for the development of new instructors.

Questions or need more information, contact Jim White at 770-855-2467 or jwhite43@comcast.net .

You Tube:How to make a finger sling from a shoelace

Note: Start by folding the lace in half and tying the loose ends of the lace in a knot. You will want to form a loop which is approximately 12"(+/-) end to end. The exact size of the loop will depend on the size of your hand, your particular equipment and personal preferences. The length of the loop can be adjusted by changing the position of the knot.
