April-October =Outdoor Range

During the warmer months, (April – October 31) the classes are held at the outdoor range on Pitner Road in Acworth. They begin at 10:00AM and last about an hour. Please arrive by 9:45 to gear up and be on the line by 10:00.

During the outdoor session, we only accept beginners on specific Saturdays, and orientation class size is limited to 15. Students must pre-register via e-mail to be placed on the roster. Those classes begin at 11:30 (please see the schedule for dates.Class lasts about an hour and a half.

If coming from Cobb Parkway, go west onto Mars Hill, north (right) onto County Line Road ( which is first right past the middle/elementary school), and turn right onto Pitner Road (Pitner is first right after Starr Lake subdivision sign and Pitner Road Dog Park sign). Travel approximately 1.5 miles , and the range is on the left, just past the dog park. The gated drive should be open.

November - March = Indoor facility

During the winter, (Nov. – Mar.) we have access to a facility in Austell, GA.   David Evans, an avid archer, owns a welding shop there and has built an indoor range in his shop. He lets us use the facility on Saturday mornings to hold our classes.

Session 9:30 to 10:30 am  JOAD Youth program

Beginner through advanced youth archers ages 8-20 . JOAD, and recreational archers with or without their own equipment.

Session 10:30 am  to 11:30 a.m Adult and advanced youth with permission.

Advanced JOADarchers,Adult SOAD, and recreational archers with or without their own equipment.

Beginner Session 12:45 pm to 2:30 pm

Beginners are accepted only on specific Saturdays at this class- please see the fall schedule for those dates, and directions to download a map.

David also holds shoots on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm at the indoor range and welcomes all shooters . The cost is $7.50 to shoot a three-spot Vegas Round with the chance to win money at the end of the evening in a team shoot based on the scores just shot. Practice shooting is also available.
