Community Coach Course

Nov. 30 - Dec 2, 2010

Community Coaches are archery enthusiasts who are ready to make the transition from an instructor to the coaching level.   This level certifies the individual as one who has put in the time and effort to raise their level of commitment to the sport and their students.   If you are interested in taking your teaching skill to the next level, this course is for you.

Becoming a Community Coach will help you learn the beginnings of working one on one with serious archers who want to compete at the higher levels of competition.   As a coach, you will become more involved in developing archers who can compete in the national and international archery arena.   You will also be better equipped to lead your local club in it’s development of archers and be a focal point for the development of new instructors.

To be eligible to attend a Community Coach Course, candidates must have been certified as a USAA or NFAA Intermediate Instructor or an NASP BAIT for at least one year.   Interested persons who can document that they have been actively teaching or coaching for the past three years, and pass a comprehensive

“Test In” exam, may attend.

Regional Coaches who wish to be certified to teach the Community Coach Course as a community Coach Course Leader may also attend and assist in the presentation of the course material for evaluation and certification as Community Coach Course Leaders.
